How often would you do something like this? You might find that the people who need you to leave items on the site won't be able to buy these $1 items as you'll have all your followers trying to get them. You might also find that if you offer them too frequently, your brand will lose its special factor.

It's a great idea on paper - regulating it will be the hard part.
